Hello everyone. I have been getting so many messages over the last couple of days asking about where I went on FB, so I thought I would post here on my blog. I temporarily deactivated my Facebook account. With a blog, a website, etsy, artfire, fine art america, zazzle and two email accounts and 1200 facebook friends I was getting too distracted. (For instance, I have 3,000 emails to sort through) I needed to cut back and get quiet so I could tend to my other sites, put some things in order on my computer and in my home and hopefully get to create more. Yesterday, I was able to pack up four paintings for shipping. I also finally got some more paintings together to send to The Stagecoach Gallery in South Dakota.
I so appreciate all the messages and once I get back to center, I will be back and everyone that is my friend on fb will automatically be my friend again. Hopefully, I will be back with some fresh new art. In the meantime, prints are still available and I am still open for commissions. I can always be contacted at carriejoynyc@yahoo.com
Blessings!
Carrie

ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say, how fantastic you are, both as a soul and an artist.Sharing moments of inspiration and art with you has been a highlight of the last 6 months, taking the time to get to know a fellow artist, warts and all, is never remiss, and although the taking of your own time and space is necessary also, i wanted you to know how very much you will be missed. You know, i was thinking to myself quietly the other day, not just about the open and generous nature of your communication, but of your art. The blending of the spiritual, manifesting itself in an ethereal material, creates in me a dreamy sense of wonder. I see in your work, even in these early years, moments of true genius, and i don't say that lightly. When i thought of your painting, the images in my minds eye were so vivid, the recollection so clear, it was as if they had been seared not just on the material matter of my memory, but in the very heart and soul of me. The mix of spiritual splendor, angelic light, and ethereal subject matter, evokes in me, if not all those who witness your work, a deep sense of connective transcendance. I cannot say how much your work has impressed upon me, from the van Goghesque dreaminess of the Street scene in Siena, to the flowing angelic muses. They are truly great works of art, that in time will find the souls to appreciate them , and appreciate you also for who and what you are. Never stop painting, please, and one day it would be my very great pleasure to collaborate with you in some way, but until then, i just wanted to let you know how wonderful you are, and how very much you have meant to a fellow artist.
ReplyDeletetotally understand! See ya on the other side....
ReplyDeleteBeautiful RMP
ReplyDeleteI understood your post but with Irene blowing out there was wondering how bad you and your husband and dog were being hit. My daughter in D,C, will be getting it in a while.
ReplyDeleteDennis
Oh Dennis, thank you. We are fine here. Very stormy but we are inland. Keeping my fingers crossed for DC and NY.
ReplyDeleteKeep losing power, some downed branches and the dog is terrified but that is about the worst of it for us here it seems.

ReplyDeleteOh! ~ I jus' got tired reading all the things you've been trying to juggle at one time!! ~ No wonder you need some time to breathe! ~ Glad glad you didn't get anything bad from the hurricane..we had limbs from the hardwoods slamming into the yard, and 23,304 branches, but thats all ~ A blessing certainly ~ Please give yourself some time to gather all that is within you and know then when the time is right to come back to FB ~
ReplyDeleteOh glad I came across a FB thread that explained your disappearance. I was worried after your posts/comments recently. Now I've read this, it all makes sense. Regroup and unwind a bit.
