Perking up the Etsy Shop

My etsy shop was a feeling a little neglected these last few months with all the commissions and sales on ebay (thank you!) so I decided to perk her up with a couple little gems.

The Trial by Existence by Robert Frost

This painting was inspired by a poem by Robert Frost, The Trial by Existence.  I just love this poem.  To me it is .... well so much.... but basically an acknowledgement of how courageous it is just to be human.  God holds us in his "especial care" because he knows how much courage it takes to plunge to earth leaving paradise behind.  I named the painting The Fall because I think the poem looks at the fall of man in a different way, rather than a transgression, more as an act of valor.  I did a little video below.  The music is Van Morrison.  The Fall is up on ebay right now.

Just remember just being here and doing the best you can is an incredible feat.

Blessings.

The last of our travelers left early last Sunday morning. I thought I would be back to work full force but I felt a bit zapped. I needed to breathe in before I could breath out. In the meantime, I thought I would share this little video I took of the studio/room where I paint. Perhaps it is a bit boring but I know I like to peek into other people's spaces. I am thinking tomorrow I will be back at the easel!

Open The Door

14 x 18 Acryclic On Canvas
Open The Door

I was thinking about taking the opportunities presented in life and using our wisdom to figure out what those opportunities are....opening our doors and going places that are new but a little uncomfortable.

The colors are so much richer in person but with the winter light it is not so easy to get good pix...

Thanks for coming by!
